"Excellent service! The entire veterinary team respects requests to minimize the stress of a traumatized animal 💚. They are committed to good care, understanding that mental health is part of health!
There's no price on not hearing your dog scream in terror behind you 🥰👏"

"Very satisfied with the TPLO surgery our dog had. It was a great benefit to have our pet operated on at their veterinary clinic. We saved time and money. The surgeon was also very kind and professional. Detailed instructions for post-operative care were provided and the team was available should we have any questions during our dog's recovery period."

"Exceptional service and the best price I could find. I had already had my dog's cruciate ligament surgery a year ago at the Daubigny Clinic in Quebec City and the recovery was not as quick.

I highly recommend it, the love for animals is felt in the care provided."

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you have a question?
We are here to answer it.

  • Specialists have a degree from the ACVS (American College of Veterinary Surgeons) or the ECVS (European College of Veterinary Surgeons). To obtain this degree, they must complete a three-year residency supervised by other specialists.

It is important to note that there are no procedures reserved exclusively for veterinary specialists, which means that general practitioners can also perform orthopedic or complex surgeries without restriction. It is their duty to clearly communicate to their patients' owners the difference in expertise between specialists and general practitioners, as well as the limitations and implications that this entails.

  • When you schedule surgery with Coupez, you can rest assured that your pet will be cared for by a team you already trust, at your favorite veterinary facility. This means you won't have to be referred to another clinic or travel anywhere!

  • Our founders worked in referral centers for several years before creating Coupez. Our team will collaborate closely with your veterinarian to ensure high-quality care. Additionally, our animal health technicians have extensive experience in anesthesia and analgesia, ensuring careful monitoring of your pet throughout their surgery and recovery.

  • Your veterinarian is responsible for your pet's post-operative care and should be contacted first if you have any questions or concerns. Their team will contact us if our expertise is needed to manage a situation or answer your questions. If it is an emergency, please go to the nearest 24-hour veterinary center.

  • After your pet's surgery, we will provide you with informative documents to help you manage their recovery. The team at your veterinary facility will take the time to provide you with all the necessary explanations when you pick up your pet after surgery. They will also be available to answer your questions or concerns during their recovery. The follow-up radiographic appointment will be scheduled by your veterinarian, and the file and images will then be sent to us for analysis. We will send a follow-up report to your veterinarian.

  • We have implemented rigorous procedures to ensure the sterility of our mobile surgical environment. All our surgical instruments and implants are meticulously cleaned and sterilized on our premises, adhering to the same strict standards as those applied in our referral centers. Additionally, we bring all necessary sterile disposable equipment with us when we travel, such as gowns, gloves, surgical drapes, sutures, and more.

  • We maintain close communication with your veterinarian from the moment a surgical request is received. We are available to answer any questions they may have, and we remain available from diagnosis through to the post-operative follow-up appointment, and beyond if necessary! Effective collaboration is one of our top priorities, ensuring seamless patient management and comprehensive care for your companion's health and well-being.

  • Coupez is proud to offer a full range of surgical services covering all types of procedures, from soft tissue procedures to orthopedic and neurological surgeries. We even offer mentoring sessions to help general veterinarians improve their surgical skills!

  • Coupez Mobile Surgery is able to perform almost any type of surgery. However, it's important to note that if your pet is unstable or requires care in another specialized facility, such as an intensive care unit, your veterinarian may recommend hospitalization in a referral center with 24-hour monitoring to ensure proper follow-up after surgery.

  • Coupez offers several types of consultations: virtual consultations, traditional in-person consultations, and a consultation service directly at your preferred veterinarian, called an "in-house consultation." During this consultation, one of our specialists will conduct a complete examination of your pet and write a detailed report with their recommendations, which will then be sent to your veterinarian. You can combine this service with a virtual consultation to meet and discuss the evaluation with our specialists.

  • Our specialists will call you before your pet's anesthesia begins to confirm the diagnosis and answer any questions or concerns you may have about the surgery. Once the surgery is complete and your pet is fully awake from anesthesia, you will be contacted again to update you on your pet.
