When I was younger, I pictured myself working in human medicine. However, the sudden loss of my young dog marked a major turning point in my life. Feeling powerless in the face of his illness made me realize that my path lay elsewhere. My passion for animals, combined with this experience, naturally led me toward the veterinary field.
I completed a Bachelor of Life Sciences with a specialization in Animal Biology at McGill University. This program allowed me to build a strong scientific foundation in physiology, immunology, pathology, and animal health, while confirming that I wanted to dedicate my career to animal well-being, with the goal of becoming a veterinarian.
Through my journey, I have developed skills that define who I am today. My experiences in animal research, shelters, and animal care have helped me develop meticulousness, a strong sense of observation, and ease working with animals of different species and temperaments. They have also taught me to adapt quickly, work with rigor, and always place welfare and safety at the heart of my priorities. At the same time, my experience as a 911 emergency medical dispatcher taught me to remain calm in critical situations, quickly assess the severity of a case, and support people in distress with clarity and confidence. In my role in safety and prevention at an amusement park, I supervised teams, analyzed incidents, and applied strict protocols to ensure public safety in a demanding and dynamic environment.
When I discovered Coupez, I immediately knew it was an exceptional opportunity for me. Not only to deepen my knowledge and continue to grow, but above all to make a real difference for the animals and families we support. Every day confirms that I am exactly where I am meant to be.
