Jennifer Martel
I've always had a passion for animals, so it was an obvious choice for me to pursue a career in the veterinary field. I completed my technical training in animal health at Cégep de St-Hyacinthe from 2010 to 2013 before working at a veterinary hospital on the south shore of Montreal. Always seeking new challenges, I later worked at a reference center. I initially worked as an emergency technician, eventually being approached by the specialized surgery department a few months later. I quickly realized that I truly belonged in this specialty, as I am a meticulous and perfectionist person. It was at that moment that I discovered a genuine interest in anesthesia! I met Dr. Benamou at the beginning of my surgical journey, and since then, I have followed him through various projects, ultimately becoming a part of Coupez!
I am the mom of Romy, a 2-and-a-half-year-old bundle of energy who is showing me a new perspective on life! Five furry companions complete my family, including 4 cats (Charlotte, Patate, Kangou, and Link) and a dog (Mater, the bullmastiff crossed with a boxer). Unfortunately, my little Boumbo, a French bulldog, left us in November 2023 following the discovery of a malignant mass on his spleen.
